DIABETES
In Malaysia there are about 1,383,675 diabetic people who are on treatment. Diabetes is a disease in which the body either does not produce insulin (type 1) or the insulin produced is not enough or not sensitive to the raising blood glucose level (type 2). Most diabetic cases in Malaysia are type two as they are developed later in life which much influence on their dietary habits and sedentary lifestyles. Nevertheless, people who are diabetic are at risk of developing cardiovascular diseases, diabetic nephropathy (kidney failure), diabetic neuropathy (nerve) and diabetic retinopathy (eyes). Many diabetics doest not know they are suffering from these diseases and because of that they are not managing their problem properly. In Well Again we put a priority to these patients as we believe treating this disease in a much earlier stage with reduce the chances or risk of developing major complications in the future. As we are a holistic centre, we do not stop at diagnosing and prescribing medication. We will assist you into your rehabilitation with nutrition and food therapy. Our goal is to help patients to have a stable blood glucose level that are influence just by medication. We will teach our patient what to eat, how to prepare them and how they can improve their condition. We also capable of assessing their severity with out state of the art ultrasound machine and stress test in conjunction with their management.

WEIGHT MANAGEMENT
Obesity is quite simply an excessively high proportion of body fat. Health professionals use BMI (Body Mass Index) to diagnose whether they are obese or not. Being over weight is a contributing cause of much preventable illness. The average human body has 30 to 40 billion fat cells. Most of the extra calories we eat that we do not need for immediate energy is stored as fat. Today, instead of being a valuable survival mechanism, the body's ability to store is more likely to have a profoundly negative effect on health. As fat accumulates, it crowds the space occupied by the internal organs. Obesity-even moderate overweight-puts an undue stress on the back, legs, and internal organs, and this can eventually exacerbate many physical problems and compromise health. Obesity increase the body resistance to insulin and susceptibility to infection, and puts one at a higher risk for developing coronary artery disease, diabetes, gallbladder disease (stones), high blood pressure, stroke and other serious health problems that could result in premature death. The most common cause of obesity is poor diet or eating habits and lack of exercise. Other factors that can lead to obesity include glandular malfunctions, diabetes, hypoglycemia or hyperinsulinemia. It is also linked with to food allergies. In well Again we are equip with most hospital machines that can assess the body composition and fat distribution of a patient. From there we will assess other complication that might associate with obesity such as upper abdominal ultrasound to rule out gallbladder stone formation. We also have our own weight loosing program where will plan your right nutrients and supplements including food therapy where we will option or substitute your everyday food with the ones that are healthier. We have managed to help a lot of patients, and this is supported with their testimonies and pictures.

COLON CLEANSING
The whole digestive organ is like a shallow tube which starts from the mouth and ends at the rectum. Food is digest, mix and absorb in various part and rate. Imagine the digestive system is like a long drain that transport food everyday, with time there will be changes in the digestive tract walls from a poor diet such as low in fiber and high in carbohydrate, cholesterol and fat. Nevertheless, it is strongly recommended that everyone should clean their colon at least once a month to prevent slowly progressing diseases such as diverticulitis and colon cancer. Imagine you did not clean your drain in front of your house for 5 years? How dirty it would be. Now, if you're 35 years old, and you have a 35 year old drain in your body, how would do you think it would look like? Colon cleansing is one of our detox programs where we would plan your nutrients and supplements so that your colon will stay healthy and clean. This will include a series of fiber and probiotics consumption. This will reduce the toxins and eliminate other harmful substance in your body.

LIVER
The liver is one of the most important organs in your body. The main function is it acts as a detox organ where they convert toxins and waste products to substance that can eliminate from the body. Nevertheless, it is delicate organs where it can be easily harmed by infection, cancer and fats deposits. The common condition that most Malaysian suffers is fatty liver where large consumption of cholesterol and fatty acids will deposit at the surface of the liver. It is easily diagnose from an upper abdominal ultrasound scan where there is evidence of fatty infiltration throughout the liver. We also will monitor the liver enzymes from the blood test that will show abnormal value and other abnormalities. It is also important to secure the Hepatitis A and B vaccination status where will provide injections for prevention of Hepatitis A and B virus.

BONE
Osteoporosis is a progressive disease in which the bones become gradually weaker and weaker, causing changes in posture and making the individual extremely susceptible to bone fractures. Because of the physiological, nutritional and hormonal differences between males and females, osteoporosis affects more women than man. Bone is at the strongest when a person is around age thirty, and thereafter begins to decline. In women, this decline begins to accelerate at menopause. If you have not accumulated sufficient bone mass during those formative times in childhood, adolescence and early adulthood, of if you lose it too quickly in later years, you are at risk of osteoporosis. In other words lack of dietary calcium intake. In our centre all patients will do a bone Mineral Density Test (BMD) where we will measure the density of your bone and calculate the how much calcium you are absorbing and how much calcium you are loosing. From the result we will plan out your daily calcium intake should be to avoid this debilitating condition.
